Description
The greatest challenges facing the ocean will be addressed at the World Ocean Summit, which takes place in Lisbon, Portugal, on February 27th through to March 1st 2023.
Now in its 10th year, the annual global event brings together the widest cross-section of the ocean community, from business and finance to governments, national and international policy-makers, civil society, and academia. Topics to be discussed will be climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.
The conference aims to inspire innovative thinking, forge new alliances, and launch decisive action to create a sustainable ocean economy. It aims to transform how business is conducted in the ocean.
A strong focus will be on marine industries, including shipping, fishing, aquaculture, energy, and tourism. Also featured will be cross-industry sessions to leverage synergies and encourage cross-sector engagement.
