Description
The Climate Neutral Blue Cities Conference is a two-day event taking place on 19-20 April in Cyprus.
EU Mission Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030 and the EU Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030 are the main topics. Key themes include the decarbonisation of ports and their integration into the urban fabric, sustainable urban mobility, renewable energy systems, smart grids and energy communities, as well as the provision of green energy for ships.
The conference also places strong emphasis on coastal resilience and climate adaptation, social cohesion and energy justice, affordable housing, as well as the role of the New European Bauhaus in the design of public spaces and sustainable urban aesthetics.
