Description
The second high-level conference on energy Transition for the EU fisheries and aquaculture Sector will be taking place on 17 February 2026 in Brussels.
Organised by the European Commission (DG MARE), the event will outline the EU’s energy transition ambitions and vision. It will also provide insights from the sectoral consultation and shared priorities for the sectors’ energy transition, carried out under the ETP and presented by the Support Group Coordinators. These discussions will form the foundation for the Energy Transition Roadmap, which the European Commission plans to publish in Q3 2026, based on recommendations from the ETP consultations.
Top-level speakers will take part in the discussion: Commissioner for Fisheries and Ocean Costas Kadis, Director-General Charlina Vitcheva, representatives from the European Parliament, the EU Council, EU Member States, the industry and relevant NGOs.
