Description
A high-level event aims to launch the Baltic and North Sea lighthouse of the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”. The hybrid event will take place on 25-26 April in Hamburg, Germany.
The event is organised by the European Commission in close cooperation with the German Ministry of Education and Research and with support from the BlueMissionBANOS Coordination and Support Action for the Baltic & North Sea.
The two-day conference will focus on the political commitments to implement the Mission, and agree on concrete measures and actions in the Baltic and North Sea basin, particularly to make the blue economy carbon-neutral and circular.
The event will bring together key stakeholders in the lighthouse area to:
- Confirm and amplify political buy-in to the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030” in the Baltic & North Sea basin, and engagement in the Mission Charter.
- Show-case and further agree on key actions and measures to meet the Baltic & North Sea lighthouse objectives and targets by 2030.
