Description
The Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) for the EU Fisheries and Aquaculture sector, under the European Commission (DG MARE), is hosting a workshop, "Navigating the Energy Transition: Strategic Goals for Resilient and Sustainable Aquaculture." This hybrid segment workshop is designed to inform the development of the energy transition roadmap for the EU aquaculture sector. The aim is to explore the challenges within energy transition. It will build on previous ETP sessions and feature case studies to drive informed discussions on the way forward for the energy transition in the sector.
Event Details
This workshop will explore:
- Sector contributions: Identifying how the aquaculture sector (inland and offshore) can lead its energy transition until 2050.
- Key challenges: Addressing obstacles that may hinder progress towards milestones and understanding their potential impact.
- Conditions and solutions: Defining the actions and tools required to overcome challenges and ensure steady progress.
For online workshop participants, transcription in all 24 EU languages will be provided, and interpretation will be available upon request.
For in-person attendees, interpretation could be available upon request. Participants requiring other languages are encouraged to bring a laptop to use the online automatic translation feature.
