Young Algaeneers Symposium

The Young Algaeneers Symposium is made by and for young scientists working in both microalgae and seaweed sectors. During YAS the next generation of Algaeneers networkand interact with key players in the algae industry and academia.

From June 3 to 6 2025, immerse yourself in this vibrant Mediterranean city, where algaeneers from around the world will gather to exchange knowledge and explore new frontiers in algae research. Almería is a hub for microalgae research and cultivation, with the Universidad de Almería (UAL) internationally recognized in the field. The city is also home to several biotech companies pioneering microalgae-based products, particularly in agriculture. With the world's largest concentration of greenhouses, this setting offers a unique opportunity to learn and connect in a city deeply rooted in innovation and sustainable practices.
