Marine Conservation: Join Nautilos Summer School

The Nautilos Summer School is a four-day programme for early-career scientists and marine technologists interested in the blue economy and open data sharing. The course's major purpose is to increase professional skills and competencies connected to marine litter.

To achieve this, the course will include lectures, discussions, practical sampling and measurements, and interpretation of marine data, as well as a small scientific expedition on board a vessel and waterfront experiments for a hands-on experience. The course will feature a variety of sensors and measuring systems developed within the Nautilos project, not limited to marine litter.

The course is scheduled from September 4th to September 7th, 2023, with the first day taking place at the Norwegian Institute for water Research (NIVA) and the remaining days at the OceanLab facilities of the OsloMet University at the Oslo fjord.

The application deadline is May 20th, 2023, and successful applicants will be notified by June 20th, 2023.
