The EU Blue Economy Observatory has launched a survey to enhance further understanding of blue biotechnology within the EU and across Europe.
Blue biotechnology is defined as the “application of science and technology to living organisms from marine resources, as well as parts, products and models, to alter living or non-living materials for producing knowledge, goods and services”.
Input will be invaluable as the blue biotechnology's current size, scale, and dynamism remain difficult to assess. The insights gained from the survey will be instrumental in shaping future strategic support and investment. While some sensitive information is requested, all quantitative responses will be aggregated for reporting purposes. No individual sources will be disclosed, and the data will be securely stored to ensure complete anonymity.
