Description
The Common Maritime Agenda will be organising the Black Sea Common Maritime Agenda Stakeholder Conference in Chișinău, Moldova, on 11 September 2024, under the auspices of the Moldovan Coordinator.
The event will gather speakers from diverse backgrounds with extensive experience in blue economy topics. Speakers will address blue economy challenges and opportunities and delve into discussions concerning innovation, energy transition, blue skills, and pollution. This is an opportunity for the community to engage in cross-sector exchanges and foster collaboration and sharing of scientific knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned. As per tradition, stakeholders will take centre stage with a co-creation session to identify policy and funding priorities for developing the Black Sea sustainable blue economy.
The Conference topics address the three main goals of the Common Maritime Agenda:
1. Healthy Marine and Coastal Ecosystems;
2. A Competitive, Innovative, and Sustainable Blue Economy for the Black Sea;
3. Fostering Investment in the Black Sea Blue Economy.
The public session of the conference will be followed on 12 September by closed-door meetings of the steering group of the CMA and of the SustAqua technical group. Only invited members can attend these meetings.
