This online Info Day will present the latest call for proposals on smart specialisation for a sustainable blue economy and regenerative ocean farming.
The call is funded under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF). The call has been published on 26 September 2024 with a budget of EUR 5.7 million.
The Info Day will include a presentation of the policy background to this call for proposals, information on the call, how to apply, and tips and tricks for preparing your application.
Participants will be able to ask questions via Sli.do, using the hashtag #EMFAFflagships.
This Info Day will explain the policy context to potential applicants, and present the objectives and scope of the call, which includes two topics on:
- Maritime regional cooperation fostering Smart Specialisation and Innovation in the Sustainable Blue Economy
This topic aims to support and animate the Smart Specialisation (S3) thematic platform for sustainable blue economy, in one or more of the following sectors: fisheries, aquaculture, marine renewable energy, blue biotechnology, coastal and maritime tourism.
- Demonstrating feasibility and environmental benefits of regenerative ocean farming and boosting algae innovation
This topic aims to prove the feasibility and viability of setting up and operating ocean farms across various EU marine regions.
The session will further explain the call conditions and how to apply, including tips and tricks to improve your proposal.
