Description
In a joint workshop, the Programme Managers' Office of the European Innovation Council, the Directorate-General Research and Innovation, the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, the EuroTech Universities Alliance and the EU project ANEMEL want to dive deep into the pressing question of minimising water impact for the future large-scale production of RFNBOs and valuable minerals in all regions.
The aim of this workshop is to address the use of seawater in a variety of applications, such as the manufacture of renewable fuels and chemicals, mining, and energy storage.
A multidisciplinary group of experts from industry, academia and policy-makers will discuss innovative desalination methods, including brines treatment, as well as direct seawater electrolysis or the use of seawater for co-electrolysis. The experts will draft a white paper presenting the technologies using seawater as a source that should strongly be supported by the European Commission in accordance with the achievement of the EU Green Deal objectives.
The workshop will also host a "pitch session" to show-case real-life demonstration projects or technologies in this area.
If you would like to join the workshop, please pre-register here. Please note that the number of participants is limited and will be selected on first-come, first-served basis
