MOCC: Bringing the Ocean into Schools

Educating and inspiring the next generation of ocean stewards is the aim of the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).

The MOOC will guide students in crafting their “Find the Blue” project. Participants will learn how to identify ocean topics, develop school projects with local partners, and work towards achieving a European Blue School certification. This achievement is the doorway to the Network of European Blue Schools, a dedicated movement focused on shaping informed students passionate about protecting and preserving our oceans.

Teaching methodologies will include project-based learning and open schooling, which will support students in connecting to the oceans through engaging, innovative lesson plans that will leave a lasting impact.
